Add "other" option for personal pronous

Currently, personal pronouns can be changed in Canvas from none to she/her, he/him, or they/them. Not everyone uses these pronouns. An other option with an open field would be a great addition so that people could type out their pronouns (e.g., xe/xem, ve/ver, ze/zir).

Thanks for sharing this idea. The good news is that additional options can be implemented by your school. In addition to the default options populated by Canvas, your local Canvas admin can add pronoun options as described in How do I enable personal pronouns in an account? . Please contact the local admin or eLearning department for your institution to request it.

With regard to the second request in your idea, an open field is not included, and that's by design. The feedback we received during the development process of this feature revealed that schools were, by a very large margin, opposed to the inclusion of an open field for pronouns.
