So, I'd like the option to add the "to do" function to announcements. I know, as a teacher, there are really important announcements I make that I know my students don't see. I know that many of our students live and die by Canvas's "to do" list. I don't want to make an assignment or quiz every week based on the weekly announcement to ensure that they at least know it's there.
I have just read a student's suggestion that announcements not be added to the to do list--which suggests that announcements are already automatically added to the "to do" list--which is overwhelming them with information.
Would it be possible to give teachers the option to either add the "mark as done" function or send the announcement to the "to do" list ?
