Allow recurring daily/weekly announcements

I would like the ability to have announcements automatically appear daily or weekly for a set time.  For example, from 7-9am M-F or from 1-2pm each Tuesday.  Currently each annoucement has to be manually created.

Yes!  I definitely need this at a global level!!  My university has weekly live streams and having to post an academic year's worth of identical announcements is tedious.

What I have found that works so far is to create an announcement and set it to a future time. Then as soon as that time passes, edit the announcement to the next time. It doesn't help for the set it and forget it, but it does keep them from having multiple of the same announcements over and over again. They would just ignore it, if that happened.

I would still love a recurring announcement that I could set the start time and end time on.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
