Be able to set deadlines prior to the ones set by the instructor

Sometimes there are easier assignments that could be completed in a day or two when the instructor has given, say, five days for the assignment. As a person who likes checking off checklists in order and to have a checklist for each day, and as one who's trying to stay on top of her work as much as possible, I'd really like the ability to set deadlines for myself prior to the ones given by the instructor.

Like a personal checklist/deadline, and to have these in one page list style, or also given a calendar option if others would prefer that. I think there could be a way to distinguish this from the calendars already given on Canvas with the instructor-given deadlines. Perhaps we could have it as a separate icon on the left with an icon that signifies "personal". Not sure what this could be.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
