Course Copy Starter Discussion Posts

In the Blackboard LMS, one useful feature was copying starter discussion posts to new courses. I find this helpful since students often look at their peers' discussion posts before posting their own. However, as many of us know, whoever posts first in large respect dictates the direction and quality of the remaining student posts. I have had times where the first person rushed the assignment and did not follow the directions and then nearly every remaining student followed what that first person did. This is why I think it would be helpful to give Canvas the option of copying starter posts from the discussions into the new course so that I don't have to manually add new discussion posts for each of my classes.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
