Doc Viewer on Group Assignments

The ability to utilize doc viewer and annotate on student submissions is phenomenal. However, on group assignment, I'm unable to annotate on submissions. Please allow the doc viewer to be accessible on group assignments so faculty does not have to download, annotate in a different program, and upload into the additional comments.

Thanks for sharing this idea. Instructors can annotate group assignments using DocViewer in the same manner as they do individual student submissions, as long as the file upload is of a file type supported by DocViewer. This is detailed in How do I grade group assignments in SpeedGrader?

If you are not able to annotate submissions to the group assignments in your course, please ask the local Canvas admin or eLearning department for your district to investigate the setup of the assignment itself.
