Limit student access during quizzes
I am looking for a feature that would allow me to limit student access to other things in canvas during quizzes. Currently I put my tests in a separate module and unpublish the module with the lesson content. I also use jamf or apple classroom to lock my students into canvas during tests so that they cannot cheat outside of canvas.
The issue that I am running in to is that even though I unpublish the modules and hide the assignment and grade tabs in the navigation section, students can still access their assignments since they cannot be individually unpublished once students have submitted work. Right now they are able to access their hidden assignments by clicking on the calendar and viewing any assignment they have turned in. Unfortunately there is not a way to lock or hide that feature. I know that I can lock an assignment with a date but to lock every assignment before a test individually is not feasible. I do not lock student assignments after the due date because I still need students to turn them in; even if they are late.
Any ability to lock student access to the rest of canvas while they take a test would be very helpful.
