New quizzes Item analysis, show question stem
Suggestion
On New Quizzes, option Reports | Quiz and Item Analysis is very useful.
However, a simple improvement/fix is needed on that report: the report must show the Question Stem for Fill in the Blank questions.
Rationale
Fill in the Blank questions have a question stem where you can use the rich editor to formulate the question. Then there's a plain-text statement where we introduce one ore more "blanks".
One way that I and probably many others have been using this type of question is:
- enunciate the question with text formatting, images, tables and whatnot in the question stem.
- add a simple statement asking for the response. Examples:
- Type your answer: [blank]
- The name of the tactic that matches the description is [blank]
- Type the name of the technique described above as it shows in the textbook: [blank]
- Based on the information given, the coordinates are: [blank1], [blank2]
The problem is that you may have several questions with the same statement in the same quiz. If you can't see the question stem (or part of it), you can't tell the question apart in the item analysis report.
