Observer accounts and Student inbox/sent box

Is there anyway for an observer of a student to have permission to view the students message chain? The reasoning is we want observers who would like to view their students messages to the students teacher in their(observers) Canvas inbox or at least have the ability to view their students messages with their observer permissions. Right now, the observer can only tell what the teacher responds to the student with through notification emails set up on their email account(s) but does not see the students original messages.

Yes please!

This will be great for our secondary student observers and primary student observers. 

They really feel like the observer account isn't comprehensive enough and so they are constantly "logged in" as the student which is skewing the data of the student's participation in the course.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
