Save Quiz details without closing the editor

When editing Quiz questions, you can update each question and then easily continue editing the quiz.

However, the only way to update the Quiz details -- especially the Title and Instructions -- is to click "Save", which automatically closes the editor. This leads to an awkward workflow:

If you enter quiz details, and then click on "questions" without first saving, you lose your work.

If you enter quiz details, and then wish to add questions, you must click "save", which boots you out of the editor, and then you need to re-launch the editor.

Constantly being booted out of editing every time you need to save your new details is frustrating. It would be better if there was a way to "update" the Quiz details, in the same way as you can update a Quiz question, without ending the editing process.

The workflow you've described for creating and saving quiz questions in Classic (Old) Quizzes has been completely revamped in New Quizzes, which allows the instructor to create, edit, and save quiz questions within the context of the quiz itself.

Our teams are no longer developing new functionality on the code base for Classic Quizzes, which is scheduled for deprecation in early 2021, so we've archived this idea. Please look through the resources in the User Group: New Quizzes to learn more about the new quiz tool and how you can get started with it.
