Save student assignment progress

Provide students the opportunity to begin an assignment that they do not have to complete in one sitting. An auto-save feature would be helpful to provide equity for those that don't have access to reliable internet connectivity. 

This will also allow them to start assignments, take breaks (review material, ask questions), or sneak in some work between other obligations (if students are working they can make progress without having to stress to complete the entire assignment. 

AND if students are able to use their initial assignment, instead of starting completely from scratch when they are re-submitting an assignment we can request that they explain changes in their work to demonstrate deeper thinking.

Thanks for sharing this feedback. You'll be happy to know that this functionality has been developed and is available to schools/instructors that have enabled Assignment Enhancements, which will ultimately replace the current assignment feature.
