Showing a PREVIEW of the file submitted before students submit to an assignment box

As our students sometimes submit an incorrect file, would it be possible to have a preview feature BEFORE they hit submit.  They get a preview after they have submitted - but by this point it may be too late and they have submitted the wrong file

I am an instructor whose institution is transitioning to Canvas. I want to reiterate the suggestion posted by Hellen Marshall on Feb of this year, 2022. 

Sometimes students might submit or select an incorrect file, would it be possible to have a preview feature BEFORE they hit submit.  My students have commented that this was a feature on Blackboard and like it. 

I agree in that being able to preview a file before submitting will eliminate issues down the road like faculty having to add another attempt, etc.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
