With Anthology’s March announcement of a new offering to be bundled with Blackboard Learn SaaS, Instructure would like to equip Impact customers with important information regarding the future of Impact and Blackboard. Additionally, the following points contain vital insight into our collaborative approach in working with Blackboard to facilitate a better experience for shared customers:

Regarding shared Blackboard and Instructure customers:

  • The Impact Product Team is currently conducting discovery on recent enhancements made to the Ultra Extension Framework. This visibility provided by Blackboard will empower our teams to understand how the enhancements to the framework can be leveraged to unlock more Impact capabilities in the Ultra Experience.
  • The Impact Content Team is in active, internal discussions on an approach to better provide Blackboard-focused content, more support articles, and additional relevant resources for Blackboard customers.

  • We want to continue to best support Blackboard Learn Ultra customers, and we are conducting a thorough examination as to how we can best facilitate an improved relationship. Customers can continue to view Impact + Blackboard support articles for assistance going forward, and the integration of Blackboard into Blackboard Learn (Ultra) will continued to be support by the Blackboard support and engineering teams.

  • Instructure will welcome current Blackboard customers to stay with Impact or give them the opportunity to move to the new Blackboard offering at the end of full contract term. Those customers who stay with Impact by Instructure can leverage the advancements mentioned above.
