In this Impact release, new content is released in Campaigns, Monitors, and Mastery Connect guides. The messages in the Inline Editor and the Dashboard are set to a default size.

Enhance the Content of Assignment Submissions: Students

Encourage students to use free tools to vary and enhance the quality of their assignments. Visit the Campaign templates tab, import it, and make it your own.

Monitors

Improved Outcomes Monitor Category

Does your institute have Improved Outcomes enabled? Now you can gather insights into the adoption level of this feature using Impact.

Monitors have been added to the Out of the Box Instructor Reporting template under the category, Elements of a course > Improved Outcomes. Insights can be viewed in the corresponding section of the Tool Adoption report, under the Insights tab of the Impact Dashboard.

Note: The Improved Outcomes tool category should be toggled on to access the monitors and insights.

Collaboration Monitors

The insights around Collaborations are expanded. The following monitors are available in the Out of the Box Instructor Reporting template under the category: 

• Collaborative tools > Groups > Web-based collaboration groups 

• Collaboration > Web-based collaboration (Where applicable to the Student Reporting template under the category.) 

Insights can be viewed in the corresponding section of the Tool Adoption report, under the Insights tab of the Impact Dashboard.

Note: The Collaborations and Groups tool categories must be toggled on to access the monitors and insights.

 

Rich Content Editor (Student) Monitors

Users can gain more insights into their student’s use of the Rich Content Editor. Two new monitors are available in the Out of the Box Student Reporting template under the category Elements of a course > Rich Content Editor. Insights are viewed in the corresponding section of the Tool Adoption report, under the Insights tab of the Impact Dashboard.

Mastery Connect Guides

Guides Available in the Out of the Box Support Center

Impact provides new Mastery Connect guides published in Canvas Community related to Item Banks available via the Out of the Box Support Center. These articles are available in the Support Center category: Mastery Connect > Item banks. 

Note: The LTI Mastery Connect tool category should be toggled on to view the articles in the Impact Dashboard and as an end user. If the institute uses the Desmos Item banks, the Desmos M.C. tool category should also be toggled on.

Updated Features

Messages

Default Size of Messages in Inline Editor and the Dashboard

Messages created in Inline Editor and the Dashboard are set to the same default size:

• Hint messages –350 width and 200 height 
• Systray messages – 450 width and 300 height 
• Pop-up messages – 550 width and 350 height

Fixed Bugs

• When a subaccount name is changed within Canvas, the change is reflected in the Dashboard User Groups. The user is required to log out and back into Canvas in order to see the name change in the Dashboard User Groups.
• When creating a new Instance, the Support Button design is created with defaulted settings.
