In this Impact release, an updated feature is included for Blackboard Learn Ultra Connected Contexts. Accessibility updates are implemented for the Inline Editor, Walkthrough: Impact Dashboard, and Walkthrough: Inline Editor.

Connected Contexts

When multiple messages are assigned to Blackboard Learn Ultra, the messages display appropriately in a sequential manner.

Inline Editor

In the Inline Editor, the Content Library attains Keyboard-only forums within the tray close button and focuses on Messages and Support Articles displayed appropriately. Additionally, item titles are set to H3s with tray titles being set to H2, and the Audience field has an aria label added.

Walkthrough: Impact Dashboard

When creating a Walkthrough in the Impact Dashboard, the label and value in the Width and Height fields are read to Screen Reader users.

Walkthrough: Inline Editor

When creating a Walkthrough in the Inline Editor, Keyboard-only users can go from the date picker to the x button using the tab key without going back. After removing the date using the x button, the focus stays in the date picker field.

After selecting a date from the date picker and pressing the Tab key, the Keyboard-only focus shifts to the x button. If the date picker is open and the Esc button is pressed, the date picker closes, and the focus is directed back to the date picker input. When the x button within the date picker is clicked, the selected date is cleared, and the focus is returned to the date picker input.

The Title and Step Title fields have an asterisk to indicate mandatory fields. Additionally, if both fields are left empty, a red warning frame displays. Screen Reader users are informed that both fields are mandatory.

When deleting a user in the Inline Editor Walkthrough creation, the x button is read to Screen Reader users with the user name.

The Create New Step section drop-down in the Inline Editor Walkthrough creation is read to Screen Reader users.

Fixed Bugs

•  Disconnected monitors while editing context perform as expected.
• Additional Contexts can be added to Monitors.
• In the Settings tray, Language options appear below the Language drop-down.
