Impact Release Notes (2024-12-03)

In this Impact release, an updated feature is included for Course- and Term-Based Messages in Campaigns. Other updates include accessibility improvements for the Support Center, Inline Editor, and Login page.

Course- and Term-Based Messages

Campaigns: Assign to Users

When selecting the Assign to Users options for Campaigns in the Impact Dashboard, users can select the following dropdown options: Courses, Term, Sub-accounts, Roles, and User Groups.

Support Center

The following are accessibility improvements to the Support Center:

  • When creating a walkthrough, form fields are labeled for screen reader users, and the screen reader announces elements such as the Steps with its appropriate role as a tab and its selected state, the button labeled as Triggers, the expand/collapse state for the Tool Categories button, and the button labeled as Buttons.
  • Heading levels match the heading's visual importance/level.
  • Unnecessary aria attributes are removed.
  • Visible text labels for a control are included in the control's accessible name and labels are provided to the specified element with visible text labels.

 

Inline Editor

The following are accessibility improvements to the Inline Editor:

  • The screen reader announces article title elements with the button role.
  • The Privacy Information, Release Information, Impact Universe, and Content Requests links are marked as div elements.
  • When submitting an email request, the screen reader announces the custom form elements with the appropriate role.
  • In a support article, header landmarks are changed to div tags.
  • Unnecessary heading elements are changed to div or span elements.

 

Login

The following is an accessibility improvement to the Login Page:

  • Login Input fields allow autocomplete and use standard autocomplete values.

 

Fixed Bugs

 

  •  The Canvas Student iOS app does not display Impact content.
  • The Support Escalation Routes graphs display data as intended.
  • Systray Messages display as intended for 3rd party tool frame contexts such as Credentials and Studio.
