Admins can now issue Authorize.net refunds directly in Canvas Catalog, eliminating external logins. This reduces manual workload, ensures reliable financial processes, and provides a unified experience for managing refunds across supported gateways – with real-time updates and clear tracking.

What's new?

Built-in support for processing Authorize.net refunds within the existing Catalog refund interface

Real-time refund status updates displayed in Catalog, based on Authorize.net’s response

Admin-facing controls to initiate and track full or partial refunds

Audit log entries for every refund attempt and outcome

Error handling and clear messages when a refund fails

Consistent experience for Stripe and Authorize.net refund workflows

Why is it valuable?

Previously, managing refunds required admins to exit Catalog and navigate the Authorize.net portal what was an inefficient process and prone to errors. By bringing Authorize.net refunds into Catalog, admins can handle learner refund requests faster and with fewer mistakes. This helps them provide a better learner experience while simplifying the tasks of our administrative teams.
