The MFCAF Family Support & Engagement Program, sponsored by the Orange County Government and Neighborhood Centers for Families (NCF), is seeking dedicated volunteers, mentors, and emerging leaders to support youth ages 10–18 and their families. Our mission is to build emotional intelligence, resilience, and family strength through trauma-informed, culturally competent mentorship.
Opportunities Available:
Volunteer Mentors (2–4 hrs per week) → Provide 1:1 mentoring, co-facilitate youth group sessions, and support parent workshops.
Leadership Roles → Program Directors/Coordinators to oversee site operations, mentor teams, and family engagement.
What You’ll Gain:
16 hours of specialized training in trauma-informed care, emotional intelligence, youth development, and cultural competency.
Ongoing professional development (monthly workshops, peer consultations).
Certificates, letters of recommendation, and professional references.
The chance to make a direct community impact and support youth in Orange County.
Commitment:
Schedule: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 3:00–5:00 PM at rotating NCF sites (Pine Hills, Oak Ridge, Engelwood).
Duration: Minimum 12-week cycle (3 months).
Requirements: Background check, age 18+, reliable transportation, passion for working with diverse communities.
