Auto captions are not generated intermittently with the Studio Media Comment Screen Capture and Auto Captioning

This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 8/28/24.

Description

The new Studio Media Comment Screen Capture and Auto Captioning feature is still not generating Auto-captions intermittently for some videos

Expected Behavior

Auto captions should generate for all media comments with spoken words created with the Studio Media Comment Screen Capture and Auto Captioning option.

Workaround

No workaround exists at this time.

Steps to Reproduce

Prerequisite: Have a course with a few enrollments and a few different assignments types (NQ, CQ, Graded Discussion, etc)

  1. As the teacher open an assignment and navigate to SpeedGrader.

  2. Click on the new Studio Media Comment Screen Capture option.

  3. Record a video comment with spoken words.

  4. Save the video and wait a bit of time

  5. Return back to the media after some time and the captions are still not available.
