Canvas

This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 7/24/24.

Description

When there are a lot of Classic Quizzes migrating to New Quizzes in course imports, some or most of the quizzes will fail with an "Oops! Something went wrong importing <quiz name>" message.

Expected Behavior

Classic Quizzes should migrate without error.

Workaround

No workaround exists at this time.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Prerequisite: A couple courses with New Quizzes and Classic Quizzes enabled and the "New Quizzes migration during course import/copy" feature enabled.

  1. In course A, create 100 Classic Quizzes with questions.

  2. In course B, select to import all the content from course A and check "Import existing quizzes as New Quizzes".

  3. Navigate to the Quizzes tab and notice that some of the quizzes have an Oops! message.
