Discussion redesign creates multiple replies if the reply button is clicked multiple times fast

This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of M/D/YY.

Description

With discussion redesign enabled, clicking the reply button multiple times generates multiple posts.

Expected Behavior

Disable the reply button after the first click.

Workaround

No workaround exists at this time.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a course and a discussion

  2. Enable the discussions / announcements redesign feature in the course settings

  3. Try to reply to the discussion and after you’ve written your text click on Reply button multiple times as fast as you can

  4. Notice that it will create multiple post depending on how many times you were able to click it
