The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December. Read our blog post for more info about this change.

Engineers are currently investigating the issue.
When a discussion is imported from another course with checkpoints disabled, then is imported again after checkpoints have been enabled on the discussion in the source course, the gradebook does not load and displays an error in the course it was re-copied into.
Gradebook should display without errors after importing a previously imported discussion.
Running SLM corrects the errors
Prerequisite: Have two courses in a sub-account with Discussion Checkpoints feature option enabled.
In course 1 create a graded discussion with checkpoints disabled.
In course 2 add students
Import the discussion from course 1 to course 2
In course 1, edit the discussion and enable checkpoints.
Import the discussion again from course 1 to course 2
In course 2 navigate to the gradebook and note that grades do not display and errors are present.
