Pages in BETA which include a future availability date or a past until date will not migrate to any course.

Canvas

This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 8/14/24.

Description

In Beta for ‘Pages’ if there is a future availability date or a past until date applied to them, these pages will not import to any other course until you adjust the dates to make the page available now or remove them.

Expected Behavior

Pages should import successfully with any availability dates associated to them.

Workaround

No workaround exists at this time.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create two published pages in a course with the following “assign to” dates:

    1. Page 1: Available from date in the future

    2. Page 2: Available until date in the past

  2. Go to the course settings and click “Copy this course” on the right

  3. Choose to migrate “all content” to a new course

  4. Wait for the migration to complete and navigate to the pages section

  5. Notice neither of the pages migrated.

  6. Remove the dates in the prior course and repeat steps 2-4

    1. Notice the pages came over this time.
