[OPEN] Selecting a date on certain months using the assign to does not add the date for the French language pack

Description

When using the French language pack, choosing a date in the 'Assign To' tray on certain months by clicking on a calendar day results does not apply the date when saved.

 

  • The only months that do work are the following:

    • April

    • May

    • July

    • October

    • November

    • December


 

Expected Behavior

Users using the French language pack should be able to select any date on any month and have it apply as an assigned date.

Workaround

You need to manually correct the grammatical error in the month name so that the date gets saved correctly.

Steps to Reproduce

Prereq: A course that uses the french language pack, an assignment with no due date.

  1. On the assignment page, open the ‘Assign To’ panel, and click a day (on one of the months not listed in the summary, example August) in the calendar.

  2. Try saving the date that you selected. Once you click save, you’ll see that the date was not applied.

  3. Open the ‘Assign To’ panel again, and click a day in the calendar.

  4. Remove ‘Aou’ and enter ‘août’.

  5. Click save.

  6. See that the date gets applied.
