[OPEN] Users with teacher and multiple observer enrollments receive page error when viewing items with certain overrides
Engineers are currently investigating the issue.
Description
When a user is enrolled in a course with a teacher role and at least two observer enrollments linked to students, they receive a page error when attempting to access items which are assigned to “Everyone” and also have an individual override for one of the students they are observing.
There does always seem to be one student who can have an override added assigned without causing the page error.
Expected Behavior
Instead teachers with observer enrollments should be able to view all items with overrides in their course without errors.
Workaround
No workaround exists at this time.
Steps to Reproduce
Pre-requisites: A user linked with two other users as an observer. A course with the observees enrolled as students and the observer enrolled as both a teacher and an observer of both students.
-
Create an assignment in the course with two overrides: one for one of the two students, and the other for ‘Everyone else’.
-
Access the assignment details page as the instructor.
-
If you don’t receive an error report edit the overrides for the assignment and switch the individual override to be for the other student (still only assigned to one student).
