Point based grading schemes with odd numbered total points give lower ranges grade for lowest point value in a range
This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 5/8/24.
Description
When point based grading schemes have an odd number total, entering the number grade at the bottom of a range gives the letter grade from the next range down. Ex: If A is 15 to 13, entering 13 in the gradebook gives it a B and not an A.
Expected Behavior
The low point value in the range should give the letter grade for the range it is in.
Workaround
No workaround exists at this time.
Steps to Reproduce
Prerequisites: Course with student enrollments.
-
Create an assignment. Create a grading scheme with an odd point value and add to assignment.
-
In the gradebook, grade a student a low range point value. The letter grade from the next range will appear.
