This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 9/25/24.
Description
Section start and end dates can be set specifically. These start and end dates are not being validated when setting due dates and availability dates on the assign to cards for learning objects.
Expected Behavior
To add start and end dates and have them be validated
Workaround
No workaround exists at this time.
Steps to Reproduce

Create a section in a course. Selection the section and specify start and end dates for the section. Add students to that section on the People page for the course.

Create an assignment. Select Assign to for that assignment to bring up the Assign To Tray. Selection the section in the input dropdown.

Add a due date before or after the section start/end dates. No validation is given (it’s perfect allowed)

Add an available from and/or lock date before or after start end dates. No validations are provide and it’s allowed to be saved.
