Soft-Concluded Courses allow for Students to Reply to Conversations
This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 07/06/22.
Description |

When both a student and a teacher have a concluded enrollment in a course, the student is still able to message the teacher. However, when the teacher tries to reply to the message their reply button is disabled.
Expected Behavior |
---|
Once a course has concluded, users should not be able to reply to conversations from that course.
Workaround |

No workaround exists at this time.
Steps to Reproduce |

Create a course

Enroll a student and a teacher in the course

As the student, send a message to the teacher

As the teacher, reply to the message

Set course dates, section dates, or term dates in the past so it concludes the enrollments

As the student, reply to the conversation. Note that it goes through successfully.

As the teacher, open the inbox and note that it was received but cannot be replied to.
