Soft-Concluded Courses allow for Students to Reply to Conversations
This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 07/06/22.
When both a student and a teacher have a concluded enrollment in a course, the student is still able to message the teacher. However, when the teacher tries to reply to the message their reply button is disabled.
Once a course has concluded, users should not be able to reply to conversations from that course.
No workaround exists at this time.
|Steps to Reproduce|
Create a course
Enroll a student and a teacher in the course
As the student, send a message to the teacher
As the teacher, reply to the message
Set course dates, section dates, or term dates in the past so it concludes the enrollments
As the student, reply to the conversation. Note that it goes through successfully.
As the teacher, open the inbox and note that it was received but cannot be replied to.
