This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 1/2/25.
When creating a new Grading Period, trying to add a term creates an Unexpected Application Error! Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'focus') error.
You should be able to create a grading period and add a term to it.
Create the grading period set via API, or create the grading period set without an associated term in the UI then add the term via API.
Prerequisites: An account with a term.
Go to the Grading Settings page at the account level and click the 'Grading Periods' tab.
Click the '+ Set of Grading Periods' button
Try to attach a term, and see the Unexpected Application Error! Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'focus') error
