Unable to assign new students to assignments

This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 11/20/24.

Description

When creating a course if you add more students after an assignment was created those new students aren’t able to be assigned to the assignments

Expected Behavior

The new students should be able to be assigned

Workaround

No workaround exists at this time.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a course and enroll some students

  2. Create an assignment

  3. Enroll some more students

  4. Try to assign those new students to the assignment
