The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December. Read our blog post for more info about this change.

This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 4/9/25.
A role that doesn’t have ‘Grades - edit’ permission is unable to view speedgrader after an anonymous assignment has posted grades.
Allow the user to view submissions after grades have been posted.
No workaround exists at this time.
Create a custom role with the ‘Grades - View’ permission, but not the ‘Grades - Edit’ permission
Create an anonymous graded assignment (requires ‘Anonymous Grading’ feature option)
Post a grade to one of the submissions
As the user with the custom role attempt to view speedgrader for the assignment
