How do I create and manage tag groups?
You can create tag groups to help organize and categorize product tags. Tag groups are then used as a component across a variety of other custom features, like custom search filters.
Note: To create a tag, you need to have an Organization Administrator role.
Open Tags, Filters & Lists
To create a tag group, click the Settings tab [1]. Then, click the Tags, Filters & Lists tile [2].
Create Tag Group
In the Create Tab Group page, add a name for your tag group [1]. Then, select the tags that make up the tag group [2]. The tags display in the Preview box in the order that you select them [3].
Enable Single Select

Single Select tag groups can be used to express mutually exclusive ideas like security statuses, levels of support, and categorization.
To create a single select tag group, click the Single Select toggle on.
Notes:
- Once you click the Create button, the system will ask you to resolve any existing tagging conflicts within the newly-created Single Select tag group.
- For example, if EnglishTool is already tagged with both Phase 1 and Phase 2 tags and your new Single Select tag group contains both tags, a warning displays with a link to resolve the conflict. To resolve the issue, you may either adjust the tagging on the tool or the tags that are included in the Single Select tag group. Once resolved, click the Create button to re-check for conflicts and try again.
- Single Select allows only one tag from the tag group to be assigned to a product. Adding a second tag from the tag group to a product will remove the first.
- Tags can be in multiple tag groups, but it can only be in one Single Select tag group.
- You can also create a Single Select tag group when you edit a tag group.
View Single Select Option Error Message

If you selected system tags or tags that already belong to another Single Select tag group, a group error displays and the Single Select toggle is grayed out.
Reorder Tags
To change the order of the tags, use the drag and drop option [1].
To adjust the indentation of a tag, click either the Left or Right arrow icon [2].
To remove a tag from the selection, click the Remove icon [3].
To save the tag group, click the Create button [4]. Your new tag group is then added to the Tag Groups list.
View Alert Message
If a tag is indented more than one level from the tag immediately above it [1], once you click Create, an alert message displays [2].
Edit or Delete Tag Groups
You can manage tag groups in the Configure Tag Groups page.
To edit an existing tag group, click the Edit icon to the right of the tag group [1].
To delete an existing tag group, click the Delete icon [2]. Then, confirm that you want to delete the group [3].
View Alert Message
Tag groups that are used to create a list cannot be deleted. If you try to delete a tag group that is used to create a list, an alert message displays.
