LearnPlatform Release Notes (2025-07-31)

Release notes outline upcoming customer-impacting changes that are expected to display in beta and/or production environments. Please note that features considered for future development are not included in the notes.

Unless otherwise stated, all features in this release are available in the Production environment on 2025-07-31.


New Features

 

Product Provider Applications

Summary

When Tag Checklist item types are utilized within Product Provider Applications, they can be configured to automatically tag the associated product upon application approval.

 

Note: This functionality is specific to Product Provider Applications and is not available for Company level applications.

 

Change Benefit

This feature allows Admins to design Provider Applications that automatically capture and apply critical product information as tags. This streamlines the product information management process by applying the tags immediately after an application is approved.

When creating a new Provider Application, use a Tag Checklist item type to gather necessary information from a partner. Once submitted by a Provider, the LearnPlatform Admin either Accept or Decline the Provider Application.  If accepted, the tags defined in the Tag Checklist automatically are applied to the Product.

Summary

For Provider Applications that have two-way communication enabled, Admins can receive a notification when a Provider submits their first comment on an application.

Change Benefit

This update provides Admins with immediate notification of new comments submitted by a Provider. This improves communication response times and reduces the need for Admins to manually monitor applications for new activity.

 

Login

Redesigned Login Page

Summary

The Login user interface is redesigned for all user roles, including Educators, Administrators, and Provider Users. The new design modifies the visual layout and user workflow to align more closely with the broader Instructure product ecosystem.

This update provides all LearnPlatform users with improved usability and a more consistent brand experience. Furthermore, the redesigned process ensures compliance with current legal and privacy standards.

Summary

Email layouts for communications sent from LearnPlatform and the Partner Portal are updated to incorporate the new Instructure and LearnPlatform logos.

This update creates a more consistent visual experience for all users, enhancing brand cohesion between the application’s user interface and its email communications.

All emails sent while using LearnPlatform or the Partner Portal are updated. These include workflows, such as: creating a new account, adding new users to the account, requesting information from an edtech provider, and more.

Summary

Workflows can be configured with conditions that are dependent on the presence of a specific tag. As a safeguard, tags actively being used as a condition in a workflow cannot be deleted.

 

Change Benefit

This feature prevents the accidental deletion of tags that are critical to an active workflow. Admins attempting to delete a tag currently in use are notified of the dependency and must first remove it from the associated workflow before deletion is permitted.

If an Admin tries to delete a tag that is linked to a workflow, a notification will appear explaining that the tag cannot be deleted.

 

Accessibility Updates

Login Page

Updates are made to improve accessibility and create a more consistent user experience. For screen reader users, the LearnPlatform icon includes descriptive alt-text and role selections are audibly confirmed. In addition, breadcrumbs function as standard navigational links, the Forgot Password link is underlined, and toast message labels are revised for greater clarity.
