This school year, math teachers are finding that when students access an assessment, it is putting odd characters or words into the items, as if the "language" being used to program the item is not translating on the student device. Basically what it is doing is putting (/ around every equation or expression, or using words like left or right to indicate parentheses or frac to indicate a fraction. All students use the same device (iPad 10th gen) and all iPads are up to date because they are brand new. This is happening while using MC Student app and accessing through student.masteryconnect.com. It is also occurring on our older gen (8th gen) iPads with our elementary students.
