Uploading a Google Document

I am trying to create an assessment in Mastery Connect by uploading a Google document.  I keep getting the spinning wheel and, while it shows the document is there, there is no content.  What is going on?

I am also having same issues

When we try to upload from Google Drive, we get the spinning wheel.  Why have this option if you have to download it as a PDF?  Is there a trick that we are missing?
