Types of data collected The basic information we collect and store about you is the minimum amount of data required to allow you to use Digication. Additional information provided by you serves to allow you to personalize your account, and create content as part of coursework or for personal use. Additional information provided by your home institution is used to manage your account, to further educational goals, and to facilitate assessment activities.
Personally identifiable or personal data collected When you as an individual register to use Digication, we require you to give us, if you have not already done so, personal information, including your name, email address, and the name, address and nature of the organization (school, company, etc.) with which you are affiliated. Where your organization registers you for a Digication account they may provide some or all of this personal information, and we may also store additional information that your organization has provided to be associated with your account, such as graduation date, major, credit information, additional account metadata, or a unique identifier (also known as SyncID or Account ID), which may be an ID number in use at your organization or a repeat of basic information, such as username or email address.

Third Party Data Sharing & Opt-out

Digication does not share your data to third parties, nor does Digication benefit financially from selling your user generated data, profile data, or access to your content to third parties. 

Based on your and your users explicit instructions to opt-in to sharing your data publicly, Digication will make your data accessible to the public. However, you may change your permission settings at any time.

Vendors of Digication may help us provide some of the features and content included in Digication. An example of this would be our hosting environment. You or we may need to share your personal information with one or more of our vendors in order for you to access and use such features or content. You can prevent the sharing of this information by not accessing the feature or content. All Digication vendors follow the same strict no data sharing policy to third parties.

As a feature of the platform, customers have access to certain analytics of data in their own systems.

All analytics performed at Digication are for the purpose of system maintenance, support, and internal R&D. Analytics results are never provided or sold to 3rd party entities or companies.

Digication does not do any targeted advertising using user data.

Integration Instructions

Digication's Canvas integration is a LTI application, so we will provide you with a unique key and secret so you can add the LTI link to your Canvas instance. If you have a Canvas sandbox, we will test the integration with your sandbox first, and then move the integration to production once you've successfully tested. Contact Digication Support at support@digication.com for more information.
