Sofia includes over 10,500 algorithmic assessment items spanning arithmetic through calculus I, plus statistics. Questions include hints and interactive solutions; open response answer types include expression evaluation and graphing. Randomized values offer variety and help maintain academic integrity. Students see Sofia assignments in their calendar, assignments, and grade book. Sofia’s unmatched depth of integration within Canvas means students and faculty work entirely within the LMS. Sofia offers the flexibility to choose any course resource, including open textbooks and other popular OER, giving faculty and instructional designers freedom of curricular choice without having to rebuild all of the assignments.
In addition to math content, Sofia includes over 8,500 grammar and English composition questions. Students will master grammar and usage, sentence patterns, punctuation, capitalization, spelling, English composition I, and English composition II.
