About the Checklist

The purpose of the Training Services Portal Checklist is to help institutions get the most out of our training subscription packages. What are the strengths of the checklist? The checklist includes suggested strategies for introducing the Training Portal as well as recommended courses and webinars depending on the subscription level.. 

This versatile tool can accommodate institutions at any step of their Canvas journey, whether initiating a training plan for beginners or seeking advanced tool proficiency. When it comes to training needs, there is no “one size fits all” solution. This free tool serves as a great starting point for institutions to make a copy and customize it to meet their individualized needs.

Using the Checklist

▶ Make a copy of the Training Services Portal (TSP) Subscription Checklist based on your subscription tier so you can customize it for your institution or download a PDF version. 

• There are three different versions, so be sure to access the one that matches your subscription tier (Essentials, Standard, or Premium).
• Keep in mind that these checklists are living documents and will be updated as new course offerings are added to the portal.

We are excited to announce the addition of a new course, Performance-Based Teaching: Transforming Teaching with Canvas Tools, which is available for Standard and Premium users. This course focuses on suggested tools and strategies for implementing performance-based learning and assessment in Canvas. Throughout, participants will gain an understanding of what performance-based teaching is, how to utilize tools such as Announcements, Assignments, and Discussions for performance-based learning, and how to organize a course to facilitate a performance-based curriculum.
