Learning Services is pleased to announce the release of a new partnership training course, Reimagine Learning with ReadSpeaker developed by ReadSpeaker. The course has been added to the On-Demand Training Portal on September 30, 2025.

ReadSpeaker is dedicated to making digital content accessible, inclusive, and engaging for all learners through advanced text-to-speech and voice technology.. They have partnered with Instructure to create an engaging training course that can be accessed from the On-Demand Training Portal. Institutions with an Essentials, Standard, or Premium subscription to the On-Demand Training Portal will have access to this course (learn more about available subscription levels). Course Description

Reimagine Learning with ReadSpeaker trains portal users on ReadSpeaker for Canvas, which includes webReader and docReader, as well as TextAid, an LTI tool that supports reading, writing, and studying. The course includes a series of Modules with written content, images, and videos. Upon completion of this course, a verifiable, digital badge is awarded so learners can showcase a credential as evidence of learning. This course provides in depth information and use cases of this tool for those looking for a deeper application than what may be found in a guide. It introduces learners to text to speech, how it works, and ReadSpeaker's role in creating a more inclusive, accessible, and engaging learning environment. Learners will explore ReadSpeaker's suite of audio-enabled tools, their features, and benefits within Canvas, with modules offering tips for usage and implementation. By the end of the course, learners will be able to:

• Gain an improved understanding of text-to-speech and ReadSpeaker's history, mission, and evolution. 
• Be able to discuss ReadSpeaker's products, features, and the role TTS solutions play in education.
• Employ tips and tricks for successful use and implementation of ReadSpeaker solutions.
• Identify resources to support continued learning about text to speech in education and ReadSpeaker.
