Learning Services is pleased to announce that the release of a new training course developed by Respondus has been added to the Training Services Portal on September 1, 2023.
Respondus develops assessment applications for K-12 and higher education. Its LockDown Browser® and Respondus Monitor applications are used with hundreds of millions of assessments each year to ensure the integrity of the online environment. To learn more, visit respondus.com.
They have partnered with Instructure to create an engaging training course that can be accessed from the Training Services Portal. Institutions with an Essentials, Standard, or Premium subscription to the Training Services Portal will have access to this course. Course Description
Respondus’ course trains portal users on LockDown Browser®, a custom browser that locks down the online testing environment within Canvas New Quizzes and Canvas Classic Quizzes. It ensures the integrity of online exams delivered in classrooms, testing centers, hyflex settings, and remote locations.
The course includes a series of Modules with written content, images, and videos. Upon completion of this course, a verifiable digital badge is awarded so learners can showcase a credential as evidence of learning. This course provides in-depth information and use cases of this tool for those looking for a deeper application than what may be found in a guide. This course is ideal for instructors and teachers who are new to using LockDown Browser, as well as those who want to learn best practices and fresh ways to utilize it with online quizzing in Canvas.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
