Can anyone suggest which function of Canvas would best allow us to:

-Create a space where students can answer a couple of quick questions:

1. Do you need staff to contact you about your learning?

a YES

b NO

2. How are you feeling (like a mental health traffic light system)?

a Feel good

b Not great, but I'll work though it

c I'm struggling. Can someone call me asap please

Senior staff are going to run a ten minute Home Group each morning, for all students. This allows us to share important messages, celebrate achievements and effort and to see easily which students are engaging. There would be an expectation that students then complete the two questions above. This will allow us to swing our pastoral care team into action if there are any students really struggling.

the loss of the queen is a horrible thing we have lost a friend. i just feel that people are feeling alone worried and lonely. let face it the last 2 years have been horrible. i do see a light at the end of the tunnel hopefully soon but lets stick together in our goals of helping each other and helping others. there is a lot of people struggling that's why i wake up every morning to train research and do my best my goal help them. there was a time they helped me

I think using a Canvas survey with multiple-choice options would be perfect for your daily mental health check-in. It's a quick and efficient way for students to respond. As a student myself, I appreciate that you're prioritizing mental health. It's crucial to have a support system in place. Speaking of support, I'm a pretty anxious person and sometimes get panic attacks, but fortunately, there's a crisis hotline in Maine that always has my back.
