Points in a quiz not adding up correctly

Hello,  I have created a quiz in New Quizzes.  There are three questions and each one is worth one point for a total of three.  However, when the quiz is listed in Quizzes or on the Module, it says out of 10.  Then another has 8 total points for 8 questions and on Quizzes and Module it says it is worth 4.  Any ideas?

In New Quizzes the total points can be independent of the sum of the points for each question.  When you first created the New Quiz there would have been a place to specify how many points it's worth, like an assignment, before you ever started adding questions.  So in your case what will happen is that the quiz will be scored but then scaled to 10 points; ie a student gets 2 out of 3 right, their gradebook score will be 6.6 points.  

If you want to change the point value of the quiz, go to Quizzes and click the 3 dots to the right of the quiz.  Click Edit and you should be a page where you can edit the total point value of the quiz.

I want to point out something for other users.  If you click one the QUIZ while in a MODULE, it appears you can edit, but you don't have all the editing features such as changing the points possible.  You have to do that by clicking QUIZ tab and THEN the quiz you created and need to edit.
