Students cannot open attachment. The assignment is published and open.

@simpsod , thanks for your response. If I'm understanding correctly, you are attempting to create the link from "My Files." However, "My Files" is a personal file storage space for each user, and students wouldn't have access to those files. Would you try uploading the files to the Files section of the course itself and recreate the file links? Instructions are here: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-13033-415241383
Hi @simpsod Welcome to the Community! I have a few questions that will hopefully help us get you an answer.
1) How did you attach the file to the assignment?
2) What does the attachment look like to you and can you view it and download it?
3) What does the attachment look like in Student View and can you view it and download it? (How do I view a course as a test student using Student View?)
Thanks and I hope we can figure something out!
Dear Mr. Williams,
Thank you for your assistance.
1. How did you attach the file to the assignment?
Ans. The links were already listed in my files. I uploaded them from my file list into the assignment.
1. What does the attachment look like to you and can you view it and download it?
Ans. I can see as a teacher, but when I try to open from “student view”, it says access denied.
