Why has Speed Grader stopped loading files?

Canvas Speedgrader has stopped working for me when I view uploaded files. I can access the speedgrader, but when I do, it never loads the assignment in the view window if the student has submitted a file. I have to download the assignment in order to read it. Then I can go back in speedgrader and score the assignment and leave comments. This started about 5 weeks ago and I haven't been able to resolve it. Speedgrader still works with text entries, but never with uploaded files. Here is what it looks like:

Hi Jennifer, thank you for the suggestion. I did clear the cache and this does not appear to have helped unfortunately.

I'm wondering whether what you're encountering is associated with what was reported in these recent conversations (tl;dr in these cases, disabling a Chrome extension solved the problem):

Even if your troubleshooting reveals that the culprit is an extension, please follow up with a ticket to Canvas Support.

Hi Stefanie,

Not a bad suggestion - I do actually use Ghostery. However, I turn Ghostery off on Canvas as it blocks Kaltura, and I've successfully viewed files in the speed grader with Ghostery turned off, so it seems this isn't it.

If you haven't, please be sure to read the entire threads that Stefanie provided and not just the titles. We're batting almost 100% with this issue being some extension and we have found that in some cases, disabling the extension for a particular website isn't enough. My wife had to completely remove Honey, not just disable it. It might be some other extension besides Ghostery that is causing the problem. There have been about 5 extensions listed to have caused problems in the multiple times this has been reported in the Community.

You can also report the issue to Canvas Support by clicking Help and choosing Report a Problem. If you're a Ghostery user, though, you'll probably be able to figure it out on your own by systematically disabling extensions to find the one causing the issue.

Hi James,

Looks like you were right. I have to complete deactivate Ghostery for the files to load. This seems like a real issue - and not one I always had. I've had Ghostery installed on my work computer for two years and only encountered this in the last month and a half or so. I would like to be able to block advertisements and tracking on my work computer, but Canvas is making that very difficult with this issue.
