Admins can copy an existing Catalog listing, reducing the need for repetitive data entry and improving consistency across listings. They must select a new Canvas course for each duplicated listing, and Catalog handles section alignment to ensure enrollment integrity.

Admins can copy an existing Catalog listing, reducing the need for repetitive data entry and improving consistency across listings. They must select a new Canvas course for each duplicated listing, and Catalog handles section alignment to ensure enrollment integrity.

What's new?

- A new “Copy Listing” action in the Catalog admin UI.
- Requirement to associate the copied listing with a new Canvas course before saving.
- Section management and configuration logic to ensure student enrollments and structures are preserved appropriately in the duplicated listing.

Why is it valuable?

This feature addresses a core admin pain point, manual duplication of listings, which is time-consuming and error-prone. By automating this process:

- Admin efficiency increases.

- Course information remains consistent.

- The feature supports scale, enabling Catalog to better serve larger institutions or departments with frequent listing updates.
