Import future assignments from Canvas without affecting grades

Hello!  Can teachers import future assignments from Canvas to SIS for informational purposes for parents, without it importing as a zero grade?  We would like teachers to include big projects or assignments that are coming up throughout the year when they do a grade passback, but don't want it to transfer as a grade.  If they leave off all dates on the assignment would that work?  Thank you in advance!
