Smart search shows not visible content

Hello! Something that I have noticed is that the search results shows content that is not being displayed on screen.

Context: I have some pages where some of the text is hidden with the css attribute "display:none" (because we need to have it ready and when the time is right just show it by deleting this attribute). Smart search seems to be finding it and showing it in the results. The part highlighted in yellow is hidden in the page:

What concerns me is that the content is showed on the preview. Why? Any thoughts on that?

Thank you for posting on the Instructure Community!

I appreciate you sharing that photo, it seems that Smart Search is also providing the full links to the files that you have linked on your pages / assignments. Would you happen to have any linked on them that could result in it being displayed?

It also might be taking words from other things such as login pages. I noticed in the image that it says "You most login again with your ISDI mail...", I wonder if it's picking up all of that information and is displaying it when it isn't supposed to be. Are these pages that say this information by chance links that you have on your page? Is it by chance an external app embed?

Yes, the links showed in the results preview are all items linked from this page, BUT they are supposed to be hidden with "display:none". I am attaching the full view of the page so that it makes more sense. What does not make any sense is the preview providing the full URL, and also displaying items that are hidden in the page...

The message "you must login again..." also makes sense to be there because is an indication written in the page, so it is supposed to be there. Looking at the attached image makes everything much more clear.

@sgarcia1 Thank you for your response back! You're correct, it doesn't make sense that the preview is providing the full URL. I honestly don't understand why it's doing that, unless it's purposely set up that way and Canvas ignores the display:none. I know Canvas sometimes ignores certain code, as it can conflict with other programs that ensure Canvas runs smoothly.
