Join us for Instructure New and Next to Stay Informed on What’s New

I'm excited to share an upcoming event that reflects our commitment to keeping you informed and at the forefront of our product evolution. We know how much you care about staying up to speed on product updates, so Instructure New and Next will walk you through everything happening with all of the products in the Instructure Ed-Cosystem.

What Is Instructure New and Next?

Instructure New and Next is a webinar event happening later this month where members of our team will provide a view of the latest updates and what’s coming next across all of our products. Our product updates will fall into the following thematic buckets:

  1. Improving everyday educator workflows: These are improvements to your daily core Canvas experience, generated largely from your feedback (you may recall similar updates we’ve shared this May and June). From differentiating and evaluating learning to fostering collaboration, we’ll hit these updates first and show you how core LMS updates are saving time and scaling educator impact.
  2. Innovating for the teaching and learning experience: These updates will show how we’re leaning into AI, creatively partnering with best-in-class providers, and creating efficiencies that foster more engaging courses and learning experiences.
  3. Maximizing edtech effectiveness: Here we’ll show you our exciting work to help you optimize edtech efficiency and adoption, all in service of improved teaching, learning, and institution outcomes, with tools both inside and beyond Canvas LMS.
  4. Supporting the lifelong learner journey: During the higher education-focused session, we are excited to share opportunities for institutions to improve and optimize program offerings, marketing and monetization efforts, and career readiness for all learners.
  5. Powering all stages of the assessment cycle: For our K-12 customers, we’ll explore updates and enhancements to our assessment products and features that ensure you have the tools to make data-driven decisions in your district.

Since we’ll cover a ton of updates, we’ll also provide you with easy access to the resources you need to learn more and prepare your institutions for the enhancements shared.

Here’s what you’ll see across themes:

  • Product demos and overviews: We’ll walk you through the latest features, briefly showing you how they work, and even more importantly, why we prioritized the update and what it means for you.
  • Change management support: Change can be tricky, so we're here to make it easier. We’ll provide as much detail as we can on availability timing, as far in advance as possible, and give you clear steps to enable and test available features and participate in beta, so you can smoothly transition to using the latest features.
  • Follow-up resources: Access to the right resources is key to being prepared. We’ll share a roundup of materials that you can use to prepare your staff for the updates. From feature overviews to video tutorials, you’ll have what you need in one place.

This will be in addition to the other resources you know and are already familiar with, like release and deploy notes, and blog updates from our team.

New and Next event FAQs

Where can I register?

K-12 educators can register here: Instructure New and Next: Fall Product Updates for K-12

Higher education educators can register here: Instructure New and Next: Fall Product Updates for Higher Ed

Who can join the webinar(s)?

The content is being developed for our higher education and K-12 customers, and will be best suited for a leader/administrator audience. But anyone is free to register!

I’m not in North America - Can I attend?

Yes, while the timing of these first New and Next sessions will be most convenient for our North American customers, we welcome any customers to join. We also recognize that there are differences in priorities and feature availability by region, so we aim to develop similar content in the future to address the specific needs and interests of our customers in additional regions.

How can I give feedback?

We’ll provide a link to a feedback survey at the end of the session. But you can also always share feedback here, in the community, with comments on this post or on the recap resource that we share after.

When will you host New and Next again?

Our plan is to do an event like this approximately every 3 months. We know the holidays in the United States are a hectic time, so look out for the next New and Next event when institutions are back in session in January.
