We are excited to announce a new opportunity for educators to directly impact the quality and relevance of Mastery View Predictive Assessments. We're establishing a Mastery Item Review Panel, a select group of assessment and standards experts, who will provide valuable feedback on draft assessment items.
Why Your Expertise Matters
Your insights as an experienced educator in your state are invaluable in ensuring our assessments accurately measure student learning and align with state standards. By participating in the Item Review Panel, you can:
- Contribute to the development of high-quality assessments that best reflect the needs of students and educators in your state.
- Share your expertise and experience to help shape the future of the Predictive Assessments.
- Gain recognition for your contributions and commitment to educational excellence.
How the Panel Works
- Reviewer Application and Selection:
- Interested individuals will submit an application outlining their areas of expertise and reason for interest in panel participation. Strong candidates are those who have curriculum expertise or demonstrated experience in reviewing or authoring state assessments and/or state standards.
- Candidates must currently be employed by a district intending to implement the Mastery View Predictive Assessments in School Year 2025-2026.
- Instructure will select Reviewers in alignment with grade and subject need, ensuring representation from as many districts as possible within each state. All candidates will be notified of their selection status.
- Responsibilities:
- Reviewers will participate in an online training course outlining expectations and responsibilities.
- Each reviewer will be assigned to a specific subject and grade band (elementary, middle, or high school) based on their expertise.
- Reviews will be conducted in three batches within a secure online platform. Each batch is anticipated to be a two-hour time commitment.
- Reviews will be held from April to June, 2025, with approximately two weeks provided to review each batch.
- Recognition:
- Participants will receive a Mastery Assessment Review Partner badge upon successful completion of the program.
- Participating reviewers and districts will receive public acknowledgement for their involvement in shaping the alignment of the Mastery View Predictive Assessments in their state.
