We’re excited to announce a powerful new compliance feature coming to Intelligent Insights for all our Higher Education (HE) customers in the United States: The Title IV Financial Aid report!
This report will be released on December 12th, ensuring your administration teams have it available to start using for the upcoming Winter and Spring terms that kick off in January.
Why This Report Matters to Your Institution
Compliance with Title IV federal financial aid requirements is essential, but gathering the necessary documentation for student participation can be time-consuming and prone to error. Failure to properly document academic engagement can lead to costly aid rescinding after disbursement and increased administrative burden.
The new Title IV Financial Aid report in Intelligent Insights is built to solve this problem by helping your institution maintain compliance, save time, and protect your financial resources.
Key Benefits for Admins and Financial Aid Offices
The Title IV Financial Aid report is designed to streamline compliance reporting for Financial Aid and Canvas Admins, particularly concerning the necessary federal regulations around student engagement.
This new dashboard quickly enables Intelligent Insights users to:
- Proactively Identify Students: Easily see which students have not participated in a course within a specified number of days.
- Take Pre-emptive Action: Quickly identify students with potential Title IV return concerns so your team can message them about aid jeopardy or administratively drop them before the census date.
- Document Auditable Participation: Provides crucial documentation of student participation, which is vital for demonstrating compliance during federal audits.
- Determine Aid Status: Look up an individual student or an entire group to determine their last date of course participation or access to calculate any necessary return of funds based on unofficial withdrawal.
The report provides necessary data points, including:
- Date of last participation and last activity.
- The type of last participation.
- Course scores
- The ability to export data to PDF or CSV for further processing or reporting.
